Whats more, if i try to play the game, it says "Steam is having trouble connecting to Steam servers", and a link to the troubleshooting page about my connection being bad. Again, i can forcibly get it to restart, but it only lasts a few seconds. It gets to about 80% and then i get the same automatic Download Paused stuff as with BEEP.
I install steam, and decide to DL/install BFBC2. This week, I finally got around to creating a partition for Windows 7 (previously on Vista) in anticipation for moving to a better OS. I chalked both the download issue and the in-game bug to the Indie-ness of the game, and kinda forgot about it. While the game was 98% installed, I was actually able to play it, until i got to the 3rd world, where the loading screen appeared bugged and would never transition. If i commanded it to 'pause update' and then 'resume update', it would continue downloading for another few moments, but at a very very low sped (<10kbps) and halt again. I bought an indie game (BEEP) and it downloaded to 98% and then the download stopped and Steam said "Download Paused". Lately though, it has been giving me some issues. I've been using Steam since 2004, and am generally a huge fan of it.
